COORDINATING THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE COMMUNITY-BASED ADAPTATION: SCALING UP COMMUNITY ACTION FOR LIVELIHOODS AND ECOSYSTEMS IN SOUTHERN AFRICA AND BEYOND (CBA-SCALE SOUTHERN AFRICA+)

The  ACF and FANRPAN in collaboration with CARE Germany, CARE International in Mozambique, CARE International in Zambia, CARE International in Zimbabwe, the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN), and the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD), will be implementing a project called “Scaling-up Community Action for Livelihoods and Ecosystems in Southern Africa and Beyond (CBASCALE Southern Africa+)” in Mozambique, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. The expected outcome of the project is increased resilience to climate change, for all genders and social groups, in over 100 rural and urban communities of different sizes in Mozambique, Zambia and Zimbabwe which are particularly vulnerable and in need of adaptation support in the context of disaster and drought risks, food insecurity and natural resource use pressures.
ACF will provide in-country project implementation support, setting the research and policy transformation agenda including calling for multi-stakeholder dialogues on pertinent food, agriculture, and natural resources issues.
